Reporting Domestic Abuse
The Northeastern Division of Safety wants you to be safe at all times. If you are being hurt by anyone in your family or household, including roommates, we hope you will contact us or a community resource. No one deserves to be beaten or threatened with harm.
Are you or a friend in immediate danger?
Dial (617) 373-3333 or 3333 from any campus phone or safety phone.
Dial 911 if you are off campus.
Dial the SafeLink toll-free hotline (877) 785-2020.
Consider ways to leave the present situation safely
The police will assist you in obtaining an emergency order, valid until the next court business day.
Once the order has been issued, you will be given a copy and the police will attempt to serve a copy to the abuser. Remember to keep the order on you at all times
Know your rights under Massachusetts General Laws (Chapter 209A)
Are you a victim of domestic abuse?

Has anyone placed you in fear of imminent serious physical harm or caused you to engage involuntarily in sexual relations by force, threat or duress?
If you find yourself answering yes to any of these questions, or know someone who is in danger, it is time to get help. No one deserves to be beaten or threatened with harm.
